Assembly Order

Follow the order. The Prism 2 has a specific assembly sequence so the seals seat correctly and the head-to-bucket interface stays clean. Skipping steps now is how you flood a loop at 90 feet.

Pack the scrubber

§5 · packing the prism 2 co2 scrubber

Sofnolime® 8–12 mesh only. 3-tap-and-turn method — see manual figures 2.5–2.6.

Pour absorbent into basket. Use 3-tap-and-turn method until top seals on threads. §5 · 3 taps then turn unverified
Record pack date and absorbent batch. Reset the in-water hours counter to zero. unverified

Install head + sensors

Install O2 cells into wells. Connect harness, verify cable orientation per fig. 2.62 (red/blk #1, wht/blk #2, blu/blk #3). §5 · b: oxygen sensor wiring harness unverified
caution Lubricate head-to-bucket O-rings (Christolube or manufacturer-approved O2 lube only). Light film, no globs. unverified
Lower head onto scrubber, align by index, seat without forcing. unverified
Engage head retention hardware. Tighten in cross-pattern; do not overtighten. unverified

Build the loop

Attach inhalation counterlung to head; verify O-ring seated, quick-connect locked. unverified
Attach exhalation counterlung to head; same checks. unverified

Connect exhale hose from mouthpiece T-piece to counterlung. Same verification. unverified

Plumb the gas
