Where to dive Spiegel

Tower decks start at 50 ft; the main deck is 80–95 ft; the bridge wings hit 95 ft. Goliath grouper, eagle rays, big jacks in the wash deck.

FAQ

What certifications do I need for Spiegel Grove?
Advanced Open Water minimum for the top decks (60–80 ft). Wreck and Deep specialties for penetration and the engine room. Tech / trimix for the deepest holds.
How is the current on Spiegel?
Variable. Mooring ball pickups, descent down the line. Bottom current can run 1–2 kt with the Gulf Stream pushing through. Always check with the boat.
Is the wreck still upright?
Yes. Hurricane Dennis (2005) rolled her port-side; Hurricane Rita (2005) rolled her upright. She's been upright since.
